Although it's possible to tinker about with the settings in Windows to maximize the performance of your PC, it can often do more harm than good if you don't know what you're doing. Adding or deleting registry settings is a dangerous game, which is why Microsoft is becoming increasingly keen to prevent you messing with the code underneath Windows.
Ashampoo PowerUp is a comprehensive tune up tool that allows you to configure, customize and optimize some of these more hidden parts of Windows. It's much faster and easier to change many of Windows' settings using Ashampoo PowerUp, than trying to do it manually. The tab style menu on the left allows you to access system, desktop, security and privacy settings, manage files, boot options, networking options and more.
The customize tab is quite impressive - you can change tons of stuff from that menu, even your browser's options. Having all of this in one place is quite useful. Like many of its peers, Ashampoo PowerUp lacks explanation when performing a clean up: It finds lots of files it considers unnecessary, but unless you're an expert it's impossible to know whether you're doing the right thing by deleting them or not. Nevertheless, it doesn't seem to do any damage.
Ashampoo PowerUp has one of the most user friendly interfaces of its type, making it suitable for expert and novice users alike
